Jason practices primarily in general civil litigation and handles a variety of issues in this area of the law. He represents clients with personal injury, employment, business, real estate, and contract disputes, as well as probate matters.
Jason has tried numerous cases to juries and judges in the state courts of Missouri and Kansas. He has also argued successfully before the Supreme Court of Missouri, as well as the Court of Appeals for both the Western and Southern Districts of Missouri. Jason has also tried matters before the federal court in the Western District of Missouri.
Prior to attending law school at the University of Missouri - Columbia, Jason served as an intern for members of both the Missouri House of Representatives in Jefferson City, Missouri and the United States Congress in Washington, D.C.Additionally, he served as an aide to Congressman Ike Skelton from 1996 - 1997.
Jason is involved in several bar associations.He currently serves on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors where he represents Eastern Jackson, Clay, and Platte counties.He previously served in various leadership roles on the Council for the Young Lawyers Section of The Missouri Bar, including Chair of the organization.
While Jason lived in Blue Springs most of his life, he currently resides with his family in Lee's Summit, Missouri. In his spare time, Jason is involved in competitive cycling and running.
